Maddie– Accepting Applications

Name: Maddie Sex: Female
Location: N Andover, MA Color: Black & White Tri
ID:   Posted: 4/29/2008

Maddie is a 5 y.o b/w tri colored female. She is a beautiful, friendly, and smart dog which requires a family that has experience with obedience training.  She was seen by a behaviorist for possession aggression and is doing 100% better with her treatment plan.   She was lip curling and low growling.  These behaviors ceased once her foster home applied the behavior modification techniques prescribed by her behaviorist.   Her foster home says,  "she is one of the best behaved dogs I have ever had."
Maddie needs a stable, structured environment and daily exercises. She is possessive over her toys and food, so no young children. She has a strong hunting instinct so cats would not be a good idea either. She
loves walks and playing with other dogs.  Only experienced and committed homes need apply to bring this girl to her full springer potential.
Adoptive family should be willing to complete training with Maddie.

Hi, I'm Toby and I'm 8 1/2 months old.  I am VERY energetic and love lots of attention.  My foster mom says I need to learn my manners and exercise, exercise, exercise.  I am mostly housebroken and get along with the other dog in the house.  I do like cats, they make me curious but mostly we get along ok.  Oh yeah, one more thing, I am 60lbs already so I will be a big boy.  If you take me home and play with me I am very loving and cuddly.

Rebel– Accepting Applications

Name:  Rebel Sex: Male
Location: Palmyra, ME Color:

Tri Color

ID:   Posted: 11/06/07

Rebel is the 2nd half of a pair who needs your help! He was until recently living in foster care with a Springer Mix he loved dearly for over 10 years.  His partner has recently passed away.  Rebel is an 11 year old, male tri colored Beagle mix. They had both have spent most of their lives as outdoor dogs, but since coming into Foster Care have been housebroken and enjoying the good life indoors.  Rebel still slips now and then but is doing better.  He is wonderful with cats, children and other adults.  As a senior, he sleeps a lot but also enjoy walks and the outside when you go out with him.  He has been enjoying their foster Mom's fenced in area but he is very good on a leash and minds well when you call him to you.

He would be a great family dog, and has had some training.

JJ-ADOPTED!

Name: JJ Sex: Male
Location: Oreota, NY Color:  Liver & White
ID:   Posted: 1/29/08

Super-friendly and flashy looking, this liver & white ol' boy was re-homed after 10 years with his family because a new baby had entered the house and JJ's nose was 110% out-of-joint 100% of the time and with the baby starting to walk, was surrendered to NEESSR.

He's a mellow, sweet guy, about 50 lbs, who likes to stick close and have lots of family around 24/7. He becomes bereft and has pathetic emotional meltdowns when he is left alone, so his ideal home might be multi-generational with someone who pads around the house all day.

He's passionate about the car and loves to ride shotgun on scenic drives, but he loathes being left alone in the car while his human shops at the mall. JJ makes a big ruckus until his person returns to continue the scenic drive.

He was tested (once) with cats and appeared to be indifferent. He's an alpha guy so has expressed a preference for a fetching female springer if he's going to share his dog bed.

4/5/2008 JJ unfortunately injured his ACL while in foster care.  Surgery is scheduled and once he is allowed some time to heal will be available for adoption.

Jazzy– Adopted!

Name: Jazzy Sex: Female
Location: MA Color: Liver & White
ID:   Posted: 4/6/2008

Jazzy is a very sweet 8 year old girl.  Her owner was devastated that she had to surrender her however is overwhelmed with 3 children under the age of two!!

Jazzy would fit in any environment.  She is great with kids and our other springer.  She is quiet and mellow and very obedient.  She is very affectionate and loves to be part of a family.  She will run and play or just hang out in the yard.

She would not do well in a house with cats.  However, other dogs and kids would be just fine.

Greta– Adopted!

Name: Greta Sex: Female
Location: Orono, ME Color: Liver & White
ID:   Posted: 4/12/2008

Hi!  My name is Greta, I am a spayed liver/white female.  The vet estimated my age as less than 4 years old.  If you would like to have a friend to always greet you with enthusiasm every time you come through the door, I'd love to come live with you.  My foster parents say that I'm exceptionally well behaved, but I think they're prejudiced!  I get along well with everyone and love to play with toys.  The out doors is my favorite place, but I like it even better when people are with me.  I am particularly partial to laps - anyone's. Since I arrived with my foster parents because I had run away from my previous home, I should probably be restrained by a leash or a fence when I am outside.  My fosters think that I am a hunter at heart since I will follow any site or smell, no matter where it takes me.

Emma Lee– ADOPTED!

Name: Emma Lee Sex: Female
Location: MA Color: Black & White
ID:   Posted: 4/8/2008
Hi, my name is Emma Lee. I am a single B/W female looking for my "forever companions)". I am 2 and 1/2 years old.  My friends say I am quite "fetching" looking. My interests include a good ball toss( but there is no guarantee I'll bring it back to you). My other interests include; long walks, milling about the yard and any activity that includes YOU PAYING ATTENTION TO ME!!!

My dislikes include being left alone too long. I've been know to
whine and cry a bit but I'm forgiving, I'll get over it quickly. I
will always greet you with an enthusiastic JUMP into your arms when you come back to me!! Okay this is probably not one of my best traits but I'm working on it (I have this great personal trainer helping me with my BUBBLY personality).

I would love a "forever companion" who shares my interests in the outdoors/  If you are interested in meeting me please contact my current "social coordinator" to set up a play date.

Tucker– ADOPTED!

Name: Tucker Sex: Male
Location: Ulster Park, NY Color: & White
ID:   Posted: 4/6/2008
Tucker is a two year old boy with ALOT of energy and love to give. He is very sweet and loves to hop in bed in the morning and give lots of kisses. He listens very well and does what he is told to do. Tucker requires a lot of exercise and needs to RUN every day.  My last family started training me for hunting, but didn't finish it.  I would love a home in a rural area where I could run to my heart's content and be trained to hunt or with a very active family that will see that I get LOTS and LOTS of exercise.  I'd be great in a home that could give him a lot of long walks, swimming, and perhaps do something like hunting or agility. He also loves to play with other dogs, all day. We think he'd be fine with cats, but ours haven't given him the time of day. On top of all that, he is wonderful with children. He used to live with a toddler and has been great with the kids that come to visit us. Tucker will be a great addition to an active family.
